LETTER: Clothing donation bin danger is not a new problem

Dear Editor:

I was horrified to hear about the man dying in the clothing bin by the entrance to Ambleside. Particularly since approximately a year ago when the police station was still in it’s old location, I was walking my dog and noticed a person stuck in the bin and I went into the police station to report this and was greeted with “oh not again.”

After filling out a report I left it in their hands to get the person out. So this is not a new problem, but it took someone actually dying for anybody to take any action. Disgraceful!
