Regarding the April 19 Inquiring Reporter question “Should Vancouver still host its 4/20 protest?” I say, isn’t it a sad day when an entertaining and pleasure-stimulating event such as that great smoke-in – be it a protest or a celebration – can draw 60,000 to 200,000 people; whereas a walk for peace and world disarmament attracts only a small fraction of that number? I would like to see us scale down “weapons of mass distraction” and work on getting rid of “weapons of mass destruction.”
This can also be enjoyable, and certainly very rewarding.
