Dear editor:
One of the delights of being a lifelong blood donor is being privy to the compassionate, warm and supportive nature of the nurses and auxiliary staff who invariably create a welcoming and appreciative arena [at Canadian Blood Services clinics].
Today [July 13] was no exception for me.
It is claimed that up to one half of all Canadians will one day require a blood infusion. Perhaps it is incumbent upon more of us to consider donating.
You will satisfy a crucial need in your community.
At the same time, you will meet staff who are passionately committed to making your visit a memorable occasion.
A huge commendation to [Canadian Blood Services].
