The cruel week in between Christmas and the new year is coming to an end. Throughout the Lower Mainland, people are prepping for their New Year’s Eve celebrations. And while there’s much fun to be had, ICBC and police are getting the word out about planning ahead. Drivers can play an important part on New Year’s Eve by acting as designated drivers. TransLink has been stepping up, too. From 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 5 a.m. Jan. 1 all TransLink transit services will be free. We wanted to know if this might make people more inclined to take transit.
