North Van school board meetings will start earlier come September

North Vancouver Board of Education trustees voted to change the start time of their regular public board meetings from 7 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting in September.

Trustees voted for the change after weighing concerns about school district staff who have to stay late for the end of board meetings with ensuring parents and other members of the public who work during the day can make it to evening board meetings.

Board chair Christie Sacre noted the public can also watch board meetings through the school district’s live-streaming video on its website.
