Employee at North Van Superstore tests positive for COVID-19

Loblaw Companies Ltd. has announced that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Real Canadian Superstore in North Vancouver.

Loblaw Companies Ltd. has announced that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Real Canadian Superstore in North Vancouver.

The company issued the statement today, which read: The “team member tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day the team member worked was on Nov. 23.”

The North Vancouver Superstore branch is located at 333 Seymour Boulevard.

Loblaw’s, the parent company of No Frills, T&T and Real Canadian Superstore chains, confirmed new virus cases for employees working at stores across the region, including in Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey and Coquitlam.

In a statement on its website, Real Canadian Superstore stated that it works “closely with public health” and follows their “guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores.”

Yesterday (Nov. 26), Dr. Bonnie Henry announced 887 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province, as well as 13 new deaths.
