AFTER learning the basics of proper fishing technique, five-year-old Kaylie Fung casts her rod with her dad Nelson lending a hand during the Learn to Fish Program at Rice Lake on Sunday. The Freshwater Fisheries Society of B.C. is offering fishing instruction for families every Sunday, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Rice Lake until Aug. 18. Instructors will be on hand to teach technique, etiquette and basic fish biology. Gear is provided. Participation is by donation.
