VPD have banned a man from the new Vancouver City Park for threatening parents and carrying weapons.

Vancouver Police announced Tuesday (June 14) that a man had been banned from the new Vancouver City Park.

The individual, 26-year-old Christopher Grahn, reportedly threatened parents and brought weapons into the park on Sunday, June 12. Parents eventually called the VPD after they asked him to stop using drugs in the park.

He was charged with uttering threats, possession of stolen property, and possession of a weapon.

Grahn's ban from the Yaletown park is a condition of his release on bail.

The urban park opened in April at Smithe and Richards.
