The driver was issued two violation tickets; drive with due care and cross double solid line, to the tune of a total of nine points and close to $500 in fines.

Commercial vehicle enforcement blitz

On Monday, Nov. 7, Deltaport was the target for the joint commercial vehicle enforcement blitz.

DPD's Commercial Vehicle Enforcement team, alongside its partners, Canadian Pacific Railway, Surrey bylaws, Burnaby traffic unit, and @newwestpd conducted a total of 50 inspections, with 34 vehicles being served Notice and Orders, or placed immediately out of service.

In total 48 violation tickets were handed out.

"Delta has one of largest ports on the west coast of North America, and hosts a huge number of commercial and heavy vehicles on its roadway. Ensuring that these vehicles are compliant with the Motor Vehicle Act, Commercial Transport Act, and other regulations help keep our roads and other infrastructure safe," said DPD.
