Fog will be hanging around Vancouver for the next 24 hours.

Metro Vancouver's vision-limiting blanket of fog is sticking around for a while longer, according to a recent weather advisory.

Areas of dense fog will be obscuring views across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley the morning of Jan. 26 and will redevelop by the evening, cautions  Environment Canada.

"Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero," the federal forecaster's advisory states. "Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop."

Never a city to pass up extreme weather photo opportunities, many residents shared photos of the foggy phenomenon on social media earlier this week.
