Coquitlam City Hall is calling for volunteers for its 2023 advisory committees and board of variance.

You can have a say about Coquitlam’s future by taking a seat at a civic advisory table this year.

The municipality is calling for volunteers for its committees and board of variance.

Positions are available on the following committees:

  • Community Safety
  • Culture Services
  • Economic Development
  • Multiculturalism
  • Sports and Recreation
  • Sustainability and Environment
  • Universal Access-Ability

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 9 a.m.

Qualified candidates who live in Coquitlam and who come from a diverse background are preferred, but applicants can’t be city staff.

And, for the Universal Access-Ability advisory committee, city managers would like to see at least half of the group made up of people with disabilities, or who support or are from organizations that help people with disabilities.

Committees will sit from March to December; however, the board of variance term is for three years.

To enter, visit coquitlam.ca or pick up a package at city hall (3000 Guildford Way, Coquitlam). Alternatively, call 604-927-3010 or email committeeclerk@coquitlam.ca.
