The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic may have rendered in person concerts a thing of the past for now but recently Vancouver’s jazz scene has moved an entire festival online this summer.
Dates for the virtual TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival were announced recently along with a set list for three different performance series. The festival was cancelled last year due to the pandemic but it will now be celebrating its 35th edition this summer running from Friday, June 25 to Sunday, July 4.

According to a recent release, plans are also afoot for limited in-person attendance should health orders allow for small gatherings. The 2021 TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival includes performances by a plethora of British Columbia’s artists; streams from New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Amsterdam, and Paris; free online workshops; club performances; and a continued partnership with North Shore Jazz.
Streaming packages go on sale April 26 at 10 a.m. and single stream tickets are on sale May 3 at 10 a.m. For more information on the festival's over 100 performances and 39 ticketed shows check out Coastal Jazz’s website.
