With an eye for style and a zest for life, Vancouver sisters Lauren and Mariel Armstrong turned silk taffeta skirts into the wildly popular brand, PARTYSKIRTS. One handmade skirt inspired international demand and a collection for Teen Vogue. The pair has built a successful business with a unified vision, but take one step inside their apartments, and you'll instantly see each sister has her own style!

Lauren’s Apartment: My sister and I live across the hall from each other and that is where we draw the line on design decisions. I love my master bedroom because it has striking dark Dior grey walls, custom drapes and glamorous lighting. I think it’s important to separate work life from home life, so I leave business at the office. When I come home at night, there is nothing better than having a relaxing bath, which is why my next creative challenge is renovating my bathroom!

Mariel’s Apartment: My master bedroom is bright and clean with a Hollywood regency vibe. PARTYSKIRTS is a big part of my life and it has inspired the way I decorate. My bedroom is classic and timeless with white walls and a few fun pops of colour. That's similar to PARTYSKIRTS; a versatile staple you can dress up or down. I have a special closet for my collection of 200 skirts. In the early stages of the company, I tried making them in every imaginable fabric and pattern, so when I step inside now, it's like a twirl down memory lane.
