Dr. Rahmany wants to see you smile. And if something is preventing you from flashing your pearly whites, Dr. Rahmany and his team at Skyline can help fix that.

For the past 15 years, Skyline Dental Centre has been giving patients from the North Shore and beyond plenty to smile about.

“Our goal is to provide beautiful smiles that last a lifetime,” he says. “We really get to know and care about our patients.”

For Dr. Rahmany, the real reward for his work is making a meaningful difference in a patient’s life.

“It’s definitely a comforting feeling, and it’s humbling when my patients are in tears from the final results or send me sweet emails or letters about what kind of impact the work that we have done has made on their lives.”

Dr. Rahmany jokingly describes himself as a “dental nerd” because he is continually upgrading his skill-set to serve his patients better. “I’m on my way to Arizona as we speak to attend a dental conference,” he says with a laugh.

He has travelled extensively throughout North America attending dental conferences, conventions and seminars.

“I have invested tremendous time and resources over the past 15 years after dental school, specifically training in cosmetic dentistry and implant surgery, to be able to offer a very wide range of services under one roof.”

Dr. Rahmany’s particular areas of interest are in cosmetic dentistry, sedation, oral surgery, implant dentistry and gum surgery.

“Right now, the main thing I have an interest in is surgery with implants and tooth replacement options for patients who have either some missing teeth or who are wearing dentures that don’t fit them very well,” he explains.

Dental implants are different from bridges and dentures because they are a permanent solution that acts just like a real tooth. The implants are also a comfortable and permanent solution to missing teeth.

“We’re able to offer patients solutions that are cost effective that are going to give them something stable to chew with that looks and functions just like your other teeth.”

Dr. Rahmany moved to North Vancouver in 2006 after he purchased his dental practise from Dr. John Richmond. His practice has grown exponentially through the years, mostly by reputation and patient referrals.

“Wherever I go on the North Shore, whether it’s the mall or the store or restaurant I run into my patients everywhere. There’s a really strong sense of community here, and I feel fortunate to be part of that,” says Dr. Rahmany.

Giving back to the same community, Skyline Dental is the annual program sponsor for the Kay Meek Arts Centre, Youth Conservatory Program.

“It’s humbling when my patients are in tears from the results or send me sweet emails or letters about the impact that our work has made on their lives.”
