Gerphil Flores played Rosalinde in the North Shore Light Opera Society's production of Die Fledermaus in 2017. The group will hold auditions later this week for their upcoming show, Once Upon A Mattress, set for Presentation House Theatre in May, 2019.

North Shore Light Opera Society is auditioning potential cast members for its May production of Once Upon a Mattress, which will be presented at Presentation House Theatre.

Auditions will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, 7 to 10 p.m. at North Lonsdale United Church, Sunday, Dec. 2, 2 to 4 p.m. (men only) at Sutherland Church and call-backs will be held Sunday, Dec. 2, 4 to 5 p.m., also at Sutherland Church.

The play will be directed by Wayne Nolan with musical director Edette Gagné and choreographer Damon Jang.

Those auditioning should arrive with 32 measures of a song to be accompanied on the piano. There will be no a cappella auditions and those trying out should have music printed out for the accompanist. The audition will include singing, a dance routine and a cold reading. Those auditioning are also asked to bring their resume and a headshot.
