Broadway Across Canada announces 2019-2020 season

Broadway Across Canada has unveiled their upcoming 2019-2020 season with subscription packages on sale today. Five theatrical productions take centre stage at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver beginning next fall with Rent’s 20th Anniversary Tour on Sept. 17. 

“We are very excited about the upcoming Season which features highly anticipated new musical productions from the industry’s leading talents,” says Shana Levin, vice-president of Broadway Across Canada.  “This season we’ll be showcasing Tony Award winning productions, Vancouver premieres and returning classics.”

Kicking off the 2019-2020 Broadway Across Canada season is the return of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award-winning production Rent 20th Anniversary Tour on Sept. 17.  Next in line is Waitress, in November, featuring original music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. Followed in February, 2020 by Dear Evan Hansen, winner of six 2017 Tony Awards including Best Musical and the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. Finding Neverland opens April 7, 2020 and Wicked, the untold true story of the Witches of Oz, finishes off the season in July, 2020.
