Steeped in Celtic culture, Cape Breton folk band The Barra MacNeils herald the arrival of the 2018 holiday season with a show at North Vancouver’s Centennial Theatre on Thursday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m.

The MacNeils — Lucy, Boyd, Stewart, Kyle and Sheumas — began performing together as children in 1980, in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia. (The name “Barra” comes from an island in Scotland that is the family’s ancestral home). Their East Coast Christmas tour features traditional family favourites in the inimitable downhome Cape Breton style.

Tickets are $48 ($43 for children, ages 4 - 12, and for groups of 10 or more) including box office fees and taxes, and are available at nvrc.ca/centennial-theatre. For group rates call the Box Office 604-984-4484.
