Today, Peach Pit release their sophomore album, You and Your Friends, via Columbia Records.
Ahead of the release the band released a video for the track, “Black Licorice,” shot in North Vancouver, directed by Lester Lyons-Hookham, with costumes designed by Jessica Oostergo.
Lead singer Neil Smith says: “You and Your Friends is a collection of songs about me, people that the band and I care about, and some of the old friends we’ve had over the years. All the songs are written from true stories, some have been exaggerated more than others. We can’t wait to finally let go of it and start playing these songs for you out on the road.”
Before the COVID-19 outbreak Peach Pit were planning an extensive tour to start in late April but they’ve revised the schedule and now will begin in Berlin, Germany on June 2. The band make their way back to North America for more shows, including two at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on July 11.
