The COVID-19 crisis has hit artists and musicians hard with cancellations of tours, shows and festivals around the world. Former West Coast musicians Maryze and Janette King are teaming up with Montréal’s Hot Tramp and the Diving Bell Social Club (a community-oriented venue in Montréal) to organize a live-streamed fundraiser, the Stay Home Sessions, on Saturday, March 21 at 6 p.m. EDT / 3 p.m. PDT, where their self-isolating audience can donate on a pay-what-you-can basis to watch the show from home. Funds raised from the show will go to the artists performing who’ve been directly financially impacted by the situation.
Musicians performing in the Stay Home Sessions livestreamed event include Hanorah, Janette King, Maryze, LAPS, Dish Pit, Meggie Lennon with special guests Tranna Wintour, Inés Anaya and Elspeth Wright (of Battle of Wits).
