British Pacific Properties are bringing the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival to West Vancouver and presenting The Best of VIMFF on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at Kay Meek Centre (1700 Mathers Ave., West Vancouver).
The nine-day VIMFF, which runs Feb. 9 to 17, advances appreciation of films and filmmaking, while inspiring and educating the public about cultural and outdoor experiences from all corners of the globe.
In addition to viewing a selection of this year’s award-winning mountain films, Bryce Tupper of British Pacific Properties will introduce a short film, “A Village Envisioned,” and Jackie Swanson will present a slide show, “The Spirit Within,” that tells the story about the restoration of Hollyburn Lodge at Cypress Mountain.
Tickets $20 early bird, $22 at the door. For more information or to reserve tickets, visit vimff.org/bpp.
