Nashville duo Escondido, featuring Tyler James and (former Cap U student) Jessica Maros, released their new album, Warning Bells, on Friday, Sept. 14 (thebandescondido.com). The pair recorded the tracks in L.A. with producer Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Kurl Vile, Beck).
While surveying Nashville's new sounds, Garden & Gun magazine nails the band’s effect on listeners: “If Clint Eastwood’s Man with No Name stepped into a vintage El Camino and turned on the radio, Escondido would come blaring out of the speakers.”
Their current single, “Crush on Her,” gives a taste of Escondido's sublime, timeless alt-rock country soul.
