Simmerin’ succotash: Sentinel students get gourmet with pretzels

Sentinel Secondary foods and nutrition students Abby Vidas, Chyanne Honeyman, Natalie Brown and Charlie Berg get cooking during the school’s inaugural Iron Chef competition on Jan. 31.

Each of the six teams had an hour and a half to make a main dish and dessert, while incorporating a secret ingredient: pretzels.

Finished meals were scrutinized by a panel of judges, made up of teaching staff and a local food critic. The winning dish was honey-garlic salmon with succotash.
