A North Vancouver resident is hoping to return a pile of cherished family photos to its rightful owner after they appeared to have fallen out onto a bike lane earlier this week.

Kelsey Cochrane says her husband discovered a resealable plastic bag containing up to 30 family photos dating back at least 50 years after returning home Monday night.

The couple live along Mount Seymour Parkway, and Cochrane says her husband discovered the photos in the adjacent bike lane.

Some of the photos are black and white, while others have colour, said Cochrane, adding that some are dated as well.

“They’re all original dating back to at least 1969,” she said. “They would appear to be very valuable to only that family.”

Cochrane has given the collection of photos to the North Vancouver RCMP with the hope that the rightful owner will claim them.

If you believe these lost photos are yours, please call the North Vancouver RCMP detachment at 604-985-1311.
