Artist Sarah Ronald hosted a free art workshop on mixed-media painting, collage and resin Saturday morning.
The workshop, which featured Ronald discussing and demonstrating her work with a variety of drawing and acrylic painting techniques, was hosted at Opus Art Supplies in North Vancouver.
Ronald grew up in the Okanagan and received her bachelor of fine arts in 2001, at which point she moved to the Lower Mainland. Ronald has recently made the move to being an artist full time, she tells the North Shore News.
Her subject matter generally focuses on wild animals and is concerned with how human activity impacts animals in suburban areas.
Opus Art Supplies, which is celebrating 45 years of being in business this year, usually features free artist talks and workshops every weekend at its six locations around Metro Vancouver. Visit the Opus North Vancouver website here to see a list of upcoming events.
