A nine-year-old West Vancouverite was honoured last week in a presentation ceremony at TD bank as part of its #TDThanksYou campaign.

Sydney Hobbs had the idea to set up a lemonade stand, buy art supplies, and then to teach art classes for grown-ups.

Opus Art Supplies in Vancouver discounted and donated supplies to help Hobbs host a series of three art classes, called Grown Kids Art Classes.
The participants each gave donations, and together with the lemonade monies raised, Sydney brought in an incredible $402.95.

TD matched what Sydney collected, doubling her money to $805.90, which was donated to Crafting For a Cure, an organization that strives to make sure kids are having a positive experience when a hospital visit is necessary.
