RCMSAR receives community gaming grant

Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 1 received a $40,000 community gaming grant from the B.C. government. The cheque was recently presented to the station by West Vancouver-Sea to Sky MLA Jordan Sturdy.

Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 1 received a $40,000 community gaming grant from the B.C. government. The cheque was recently presented to the station by West Vancouver-Sea to Sky MLA Jordan Sturdy.

The grant money partially covers the cost of fuel and maintenance of the two rescue vessels stationed in Horseshoe Bay. Balance of monies required are generated through fundraising activities and Fisheries and Oceans. RCMSAR Station 1 has 42 volunteer members who respond to marine emergencies 24/7. rcmsar01.ca
