On Dec. 14 local McDonald's franchisee Jim Pike hosted a community event to celebrate the re-opening of the 1219 Marine Dr. restaurant where the team held a fundraiser for the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
The event lasted throughout the weekend and $1 from every McCafe beverage purchased was donated to the cause with a total of $3,210 being raised.
The foundation helps to improve patient care and enhance the hospital staff's knowledge by supporting the introduction of medical equipment and resources. lghfoundation.com
