Cheakamus Foundation receives $55,000 contribution

The Cheakamus Foundation for Environmental Learning has received a $55,000 contribution from the Pacific Salmon Foundation’s community salmon program.

The Cheakamus Foundation for Environmental Learning has received a $55,000 contribution from the Pacific Salmon Foundation’s community salmon program.

The money will go towards the cabin enhancement project at Cheakamus Centre, according to a press release.

Established in 1969 and owned by the North Vancouver School District, the Cheakamus Centre is an overnight field school and environmental and Indigenous studies facility located on 165 hectares of ecological reserve in Paradise Valley, near Squamish, B.C. It's formerly the North Vancouver Outdoor School.
