Here comes the sun: Vancouver forecast calls for bright sunshine this week

Earlier this month, Vancouver broke the record for the longest stretch of no precipitation ending in November — but the dry spell came to an end, and the city saw a stretch of wet weather.

Now, the Metro Vancouver weather forecast calls sunshine and clear skies for the rest of the work week, but the weekend is expected to see rain.

Environment Canada calls for a 30 per cent chance of rainfall on Tuesday, but the skies are expected to clear in the evening. Following this, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are expected to be bright and sunny, with daily highs of 9°C, 8°C and 7°C respectively. Since the skies will be clear, daily lows will dip down to a brisk 1°C overnight on Wednesday and Thursday.

Saturday through Monday call for rain, but the cloudy skies will make for less chilly evenings. While daily highs aren’t expected to climb above 8°C, the forecast calls for lows around 5°C and 4°C.
