The District of North Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society hosts its 7th annual derby Friday, Sept. 21 at the boat launch of Lions Gate Marina and fishing off the mouth of the Capilano River.
There is a limit of 150 tickets at a cost of $100 and tickets may be purchased at Highwater Tackle, 201 Lonsdale Ave., North Vancouver. Admission includes boat launch, a T-shirt and a hamburger. All participants must have a derby ticket, fishing licence with a salmon stamp and abide by DFO regulations. Proceeds go to the Seymour Salmon Society and Athletics for Kids.
