A reader snapped some photos of the birds of prey as they perched at the very top of the inactive heritage yellow crane adjacent to the Shipyard Commons in Lower Lonsdale early Wednesday evening.

A crowd of people gathered by the Spirit Trail to observe and take pictures of the Eagles from down below.

The Eagles stuck around for a while as a gaggle of smaller birds flanked them from further down the crane. At one point, the eagles could be heard making a series of soft, high-pitched bird calls.
