Drive-by parade in North Van celebrates Class of 2020

Handsworth Secondary grads, decked out in cap and gowns, await the start of a drive-by parade to celebrate the Class of 2020 on Monday evening.

More than 200 decorated cars paraded through the school neighbourhood to Edgemont Village, with well-wishers lining the streets.

Despite the pouring rain, hundreds showed up -- including teachers, community members, and family -- to celebrate students' completion of high school.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year's gradutes have had to find creative ways to mark the important milestone while maintaing physical distancing and small crowds.
