Burrardview co-op works with UBC to build new play-space

Burrardview Housing Co-operative will unveil a new interactive playground with an official opening on Saturday, July 6.

The Deep Cove Road co-op has been working on replacing their aging playground for the past two years. Discussions with the District of North Vancouver lead them to connect with UBC’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Over the past five weeks the students have transformed a stone pit into a landscaped play-space for children of all ages, with a specialized climbing deck, bench with edible garden, log piles and tree stumps for jumping.
