Brad Wait Memorial Golf raises funds for West Coast Kids with Cancer

The third annual Brad Wait Memorial Golf Tournament, held on Sept.

The third annual Brad Wait Memorial Golf Tournament, held on Sept. 27 at North Vancouver’s Seymour Golf and Country Club, benefits the West Coast Kids with Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to create joy and community for kids with cancer/blood disorders. The tournament proceeds go towards the development of a permanent, year-round accessible camp on Stave Lake in Mission, B.C. The Brad Wait Foundation was established in 2017 in memory of Bradley Bryan Wait, who lost his 31-month battle with brain cancer at the age of 42. Wait was an avid and passionate golfer who was actively involved in a number of golfing initiatives in B.C. Partial proceeds will also go to Camp Kerry to help children and teens with bereavement in losing a parent or sibling. The foundation presented West Coast Kids Cancer Foundation with a cheque for $75,000 as proceeds from the tournament.
