While the adults' decision has yet to be counted, the numbers from the students' election have already been tallied — and it's an NDP win.

As per tradition, schools throughout the province held a mock election to give the youth a feel for the voting booth, even if they can't legally vote yet.

More than 700 schools participated in the Student Vote process.

The results of this provincewide vote show the BC NDP took 40% of the vote, which translated to 59 seats in the Legislative Assembly.

The Greens won 28% of the vote, with 16 seats. The BC Liberals were just behind them with 25%, ending up with 12 seats.

Finally, two relatively obscure parties also won a pair of seats.

The Conservative BC party took 2.5% of the vote, and secured a seat. The last seat went to the Christian Heritage Party, which corralled 0.4% of the vote.

According to Student Vote, in West Vancouver-Sea to Sky  Jeremy Valeriote (BC Green Party) won.
