An opening reception for The Mill Project, the latest exhibition at the West Vancouver Museum, was held May 8.

The exhibition offers a unique look at local history as featured artist Bruce Emmett explores a single site in West Vancouver that contains three separate histories: the Vedder River Shingle Mill, West Vancouver High school and the Inglewood "Mill" Skatepark, the first skatepark built in Canada in 1977, then buried under five feet of fill in 1984.

The show is guest curated by landscape urbanist Alyssa Schwann, instructor, University of British Columbia, School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. The exhibition will remain on display until June 16.
