West Vancouver’s Georgia Simmerling (right) celebrates with teammates after a gold medal win in team pursuit at the UCI Track World Cup in Hong Kong earlier this year. This week Simmerling was officially named to the Canadian team for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. It will be Simmerling’s third Olympics in three different sports: alpine skiing in 2010, ski cross in 2014 and track cycling in 2016.
