A week after he was named the provincial AA football MVP, Windsor quarterback Ryan Baker made the voters look smart by totalling six touchdowns – two through the air and four on the ground – during the Subway Bowl semifinals.

Baker thrived on both sides of the ball for the Dukes, starring on defence from his linebacker position while also orchestrating Windsor’s potent attack on offence. The Dukes have put up a 9-0 record on their way to Saturday’s title game.

Windsor running back/receiver Julien Perri joined Baker on the provincial all-star team, earning a spot as a flex player. Dukes linebacker Mitch Townsend made the defensive all-star team while lineman Colby Lalonde was honoured as the AA Grade 11 defensive all-star.

Two Argyle Pipers also earned provincial AA all-star honours, with the potent 1-2 punch of quarterback Mac Ward and receiver Devin O’Hea cracking the squad.

At the AAA level a pair of Handsworth Royals made the provincial all-star list. Receiver Keelan White, who is slated to play for Canada’s junior national team in January, earned a spot as an offensive all-star. On defence Evan Currie, who was also the team’s quarterback, earned an all-star nod as a defensive back.
