North Vancouver’s Rachel Donohoe was recently named the Canada West Player of the Year following a stellar season with the T-Birds.

The fourth-year midfielder claimed the award for the second tim in her career, the first coming in 2013. Donohoe, an Argyle grad, spent last year playing professionally in Germany before retunring to the Thunderbirds this season.

Teammates Hannah Haughn and Stephanie Norlander, both from North Vancouver, joined Donohoe on the Canada West all-star team, as did West Vancouver’s Sabrina Wong of the University of Calgary Dinos. UBC won the Canada West title and will now head to the University of Toronto Nov. 3-6 looking for their sixth consecutive national championship.
