The Handsworth Royals senior girls volleyball team knocked off their longtime rivals from St. Thomas Aquinas 3-2 in a North Shore premier league playoff semifinal held Monday night at Argyle secondary.

In other semifinal action Monday the Argyle Pipers beat West Van 3-0 to book their spot in the final. The Royals and Pipers will now meet in the championship match Nov. 7 starting at 7:30 p.m. at Argyle.
