VANCOUVER -- China's Wang Meng won the gold medal in the 1,000-metre short track final, Friday, at the Pacific Coliseum. American Katherine Reutter won the silver followed by Korea's Seung-Hi Park with a bronze.

St-Etienne-de-Lauzon's Kalyna Roberge and Edmonton's Jessica Gregg failed to advance to final.

Laval, Quebec's Tania Vicent was disqualified from the quarterfinals and did not advance.
