The Sutherland senior boys basketball team raised $600 through the Sabres Winter Classic Invitational played in December.
On Friday the team enlisted the help of the school's Student Leadership Council to make some 300 nutricious lunches for people living in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside neighbourhood. Upon assembling the lunches, the food along with warm blakets and hot chocolate was to be delivered to Oppenheimer Park where the students would hand out the items. photo and video Mike Wakefield, North Shore News
