Dear Editor:

Re: DNV Path Leads to Kirkstone Road Proposal; Rezoning Subject to Negative Petition, Feb. 9 news story.

First of all why is this (news story) buried on page 7? Is the North Shore News complicit with developers?

How can putting roads through a beautiful park be advantageous to our neighbourhood? Is this green? Do any of the pro-development councillors live in this area?

We don’t need roads to access Kirkstone Park. We walk there with our kids, our dogs, and our friends; we do not drive there.

We need to get the 6,000 signatures to stop this aberration.

We do not need more development without the infrastructure to support it. Never mind trying to get to Vancouver, has anyone tried to get from Capilano Road to Lynn Valley at 4 p.m.? Just say no! This has to stop.

I moved here for a different lifestyle than this council is providing. Oh, and by the way, where is the affordable housing that comes with these $800,000 condos council is allowing?
