Dear Editor:

Re: Edgemont Families Held Hostage by Construction, April 12 Mailbox.

Ms. (Barbara) Eifler’s letter to the editor has an abundance of complaints. Not once does Ms. Eifler provide a solution (other than an asinine one: a “tax break”) to her complaints. Instead of the ongoing driving to school or driving to work, perhaps Ms. Eifler should let her children (if this is a factor) walk to school or perhaps ride a bicycle to and from her destination.

This would greatly decrease the rage that she feels towards the construction work and inevitably the other drivers she encounters on her journey. I drive every day through construction, but do not embrace the rage that Ms. Eifler appears to have. I also ride my bike five to seven days a week either for errands or to relieve any tension brought upon completely of my own doing.

Perhaps carpooling would be another alternative for Ms. Eifler; creating less traffic on the road.

It’s not the construction that is “pushing our patience to the limit” as Ms. Eifler states but individuals such as herself that don’t have the ability to control the rage she feels and inevitably will be more of a menace on the road than any construction waits will impose.

No one, Ms. Eifler, other than yourself, is responsible for the good or bad feelings you put forth into this short existence we have. Let’s all just slow down and not rush to our graves.

Everyone, just take a deep breath and relax!
