What can be done to fix the traffic gridlock?

It’s a sight we’re all too familiar with: red brake lights as far as the eye can see, signalling an endless line of traffic gridlock turning one’s commute into a one-way ticket to slow-ville. Or anger-ville. Either way, it’s a bit much.

Earlier this week, we reported on a resident circulating a petition to try to persuade North Vancouver District into building a pedestrian overpass near the Capilano Suspension Bridge, replacing the current traffic lights and easing congestion on Capilano Road.
