I read your story regarding singer Megan Regehr with interest. Both my elderly mother and I have enjoyed listening to her during numerous occasions while walking by the Civic Plaza and I'm dumbfounded as to why this is even an issue. If the municipality really wants to address noise in this city, maybe they should go after motorcycles who roar along our city with loud pipes and drivers who drive around with music so loud that you can hear them a mile away.
This is Babe Coal (Megan Regehr) and Mitch Barnes. Thank you so much for putting the story about my situation on the front page of the North Shore News (Busker Takes on City Noise Bylaws, Aug. 5).
A North Vancouver street musician is challenging the city's efforts to pull the plug on her act, saying the municipality's noise bylaw is a violation of her rights.
