Hot on the heels of West Side Story and Roméo et Juliette, Vancouver Opera's takes on Rossini's The Barber of Seville-only this adaptation, conceived and directed by Dennis Garnhum, artistic director of Theatre Calgary, sets the comic opera on a 1940s Spanish movie backlot.
