Ruth Elizabeth Mitchell, who goes by Raoul, has been reported missing.

Police are hoping the public can help them find a senior who has gone missing from the North Vancouver care home where she lives.

Ruth Elizabeth Mitchell — who goes by the name Raoul — was last seen on the evening of May 8 at her home on Burr Place.

She is known to visit friends and relatives in Squamish but police have been unable to locate her.

“It’s out of character for her to be gone for more than four days. It’s one of those things where staff and family and the police have looked at all possibilities of where she may be (and) nobody’s heard from her or seen her,” said. Cpl. Richard De Jong, North Vancouver RCMP spokesman.

Mitchell doesn’t have a cellphone or a vehicle. Police are monitoring her bank accounts for any activity, De Jong said.

Mitchell is descried as a five-foot-five, First Nations woman weighing approximately 91 kilograms. She has blue eyes and long grey hair. She was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blank pants and black shoes.

Anyone who sees Mitchell or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call North Vancouver RCMP at 604-995-1311.
