West Vancouver council approved a development permit Feb. 19 for Darwin Properties to construct a temporary commercial building at 303 Marine Dr.
The building, a sales and presentation centre that can be used for events ranging from sales events to public information meetings, will be a pre-fabricated modular building, designed so it can be taken apart, put on a truck and moved to another location if needed.
The company plans to start construction in April, on the north side of the property, above where Earl’s restaurant is now located. Construction is set to be finished by June.
Earl’s is moving soon to a new location in Ambleside. Sometime after that, the building will be demolished.
