West Vancouver police have arrested a man they say was involved in kicking down a Horseshoe Bay home's door and causing a "violent confrontation" with the residents.

Police got the 9-1-1 dispatch around 3 p.m. Sunday after the incident happened on the 6300-block of Douglas Street.

The suspects allegedly grabbed a number of items and demanded money before leaving in a waiting vehicle, according to police. Investigators kept watch at all of West Van's exit points, but it wasn't until the suspect contacted the victims, demanding more money under threat of return, that police pinpointed them near Park Royal.

Police say the suspects know the victims and the incident was targeted but aren't releasing any details.

Vancouverite Devon Cole, 19, is now facing charges of mischief, forcible entry and uttering threats. A 21-year-old Burnaby man was released on promise to appear in court. A 41-yearold Vancouver woman was released pending further investigation.
